Scott Randall Gerber is an American business leader, investor, entrepreneur, and community activist. For the majority of his career, he worked in emergency medicine as a paramedic and held various leadership roles with the former Saginaw Mercy Ambulance Service and Mobile Medical Response, Inc. Saginaw Mercy Ambulance and EMS of Saginaw merged in September of 1994, making MMR one of the largest providers in the State of Michigan. After the merger he was appointed Vice President of Operations for Mobile Medical Response, Inc., with its main office located in Saginaw, Michigan. He oversaw operations in ten counties in the State of Michigan with a staff of over 500 professionals. He was elected to the Michigan Association Ambulance Services (MAAS) board of directors and served in that role for several years. He also served on Medical Control Boards and 911 advisory boards in Saginaw, Tuscola, and Aranac Counties. After leaving Mobile Medical Response in March of 2010, he served in numerous leadership roles in multiple industries including hospitality, transportation, security, education, and investment management. He was appointed by the board of his family's privately held business group as its President in 2010. The Gerber Investment Group, LLC, and its charitable foundation, which was first established in 1970 to oversee business and investment activities and assets for the Gerber Family. In 2023, after an organizational audit and structure review, it was recommended that the group form a holding company for the different divisions/subsidiaries under the Gerber name. Gerber International Holdings, LLC, was created and formed after those meetings. Mr. Gerber was appointed by the Board of Directors to the leading role of President/CEO of the newly formed corporation. The new holding company will act as the parent for the different divisions/subsidiaries, including the equities group and the charitable foundation for the Gerber family.

Education:

Mr. Gerber attended Advanced Emergency Paramedical studies in Saginaw, Michigan, and later received his certification in Emergency Medical Service Management in Kansas City, Kansas, through the EMS Management Academy. He also received his certification in 911 Dispatch and Dispatch leadership and management in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was a State of Michigan certified Paramedical Instructor and a State of Michigan Testing Evaluator.

Career:

The majority of his career was in Emergency Medical Services and management positions. He started at Vassar Area Ambulance Service as a volunteer Emergency Medical Technician and continued his education in the paramedical field and received his advanced certification as a paramedic. He initially started to work with Saginaw Mercy Ambulance and continued his education and was promoted through several leadership positions. The two ambulance providers merged in 1994 to form Mobile Medical Response, Inc. or MMR. Mr. Gerber was appointed as Operations Vice President for the new company overseeing a professional staff of over five hundred and providing emergency services in ten of Michigan's counties. He was elected to many county advisory boards and was elected and served many years on the Michigan Association of Ambulance Services Board up until his departure from MMR. After leaving MMR, his family's privately held equity and investment group asked him to take over the day-to-day operations of the group. Mr. Gerber was appointed to the position of President of the Gerber Investment Group, LLC, and its charitable non-profit foundation. Mr. Gerber continues to hold that position. In 2023, after a review of the structure of Gerber Investment Group was completed by an outside consulting firm, a holding company was created. The new holding company is Gerber International Holdings, LLC. Mr. Gerber was appointed to lead the new holding company as its President/CEO. He is also involved with several other projects since his move to Florida including being the co-host of the local podcast based out of Tampa, Florida called the Tipping Point Tampa Bay. The program tackles issues with local, State, and Federal leaders that are challenging the average American family's way of life, including the current political structure at all levels of government and the economic challenges. He is the author of two blogs: "The Traveling Day Trader" on the Wordpress platform and "Whispers Of The Soul" on the Wixx platform. Mr. Gerber is currently working with Amazon Books to complete his first book on Day Trading with a planned release in early 2025.

Personal Life:

Mr. Gerber married at a fairly young age to Tina Marie James, and they had two children, a daughter Danielle Avonlea Gerber and a son Adrian Stefan Gerber. The marriage ended after four years. His son passed away at twelve years old after a three and a half year battle with Acute Lymphoblastic leukemia. His daughter is a successful businesswoman in Michigan working in the financial and legal fields; she has one son Winston Gerber. He later married and had a lengthy relationship with Shawn M. Major, a nurse. They divorced after a twenty-year relationship. After the separation, Mr. Gerber made the decision to move to Florida. He accepted a teaching position in Orlando, Florida, and lived there for two years with Eduardo “Eddie” Barros Monterroza, a hair and makeup artist originally from Colombia. After living two years in Orlando, the two ended the relationship, and Mr. Gerber accepted an educational position in the Clearwater area and moved just outside of Clearwater Beach, Florida. Shortly after the move, he met and started a relationship with Ternell Phillips, a well-known and successful luxury real estate professional. Both share many of the same hobbies and interests including photography, videography, and music. Both have witnessed the challenges facing the average American including the overall cost of living in the United States and the homeless situation in Florida. The two businessmen started a weekly podcast to drive ongoing discussions with local, State, and National community leaders to push for change and solutions to problems facing the average American in today's troubled economy and overpriced housing market. The podcast is called The Tipping Point Tampa Bay and is broadcast on I-Heart Radio.

Achievements:

Mr. Gerber received numerous life-saving awards throughout his career as a paramedic and business leader. He lead the way to bring advanced pre-hospital care to some of Michigan's most underserved areas. He established a program that brought training and equipment funding for some of these same areas that increased the level of care provided to their communities and put AED Units in police cars, fire first response units, and local rural schools. In February of 2002 for his work throughout the State of Michigan, he was presented with a Congressional Tribute by the United States Congress for his work in Michigan. The tribute was presented to him after being read on the floor of the U.S. Congress in Washington D.C. The Congressional Tribute was presented to Mr. Gerber by Michigan Representative U.S. Congressman James Barcia.
